Ah Mate what a vivid imagination you have. Must be a bit of that old Mango madness.

Cheers Bob

I enjoy the intelligent conversations and debate on this forum. It's nice to be amongst intelligent, thinking individuals. Much more interesting than who won the cricket or how many beers were downed last night.

Love the poem Marty. Thanks for the laugh.

Marginalise Matt? Surely immortalise :? Hey Bob, there's lot's of hippies up here in the Mungumby Valley . . lot's of mad old characters . . the remnants of 1970's Cedar Bay and Cape Trib - rich fodder. Heather . . hey who did win the cricket? And Zondrae . . "it's long" you must get out some more, my dear ;)

Cheers, Marty

G'day Marty, there was a colour used in artists paints called Indian yellow.
The pigment was made from the urine of cows that were forced to eat mango skins.

You can't get this colour anymore, it is considered a product derived from cruelty to cows.

A case of anti-bovism.

Marty that is a bottler of a poem! Great stuff.
Too many years ago I used to buy my lunch everyday from (ex world champion boxer) Jimmy Carruther's health food shop on the corner of Elizabeth and Liverpool Streets, Sydney. Jimmy and his wife used to also make and sell wonderful fruit and vegetable juice drinks. He had a customer who worked nearby and whom Jimmy became worried about due to the tremendous amount of carrot juice the young fellow was drinking everyday. Jimmy pointed the young bloke out to me and his skin had developed an orange colour. The young bloke eventually became very ill and I am not sure but I think he may have died as a result of overdosing on carrotine and the vitamin it contains.

Well Nev, given that I like beef, I guess that I'd be an unashamed bovine-lover ... :)

A bit of a dilemma Ross, because it is difficult to judge "what is racist or for that matter demeaning" unless we've been on the receiving end of that sort of attack.

Yeah Manfred....but I doubt there is a person anywhere who hasn't been called a name they didn't like at some stage of their life! Maybe we could get the prime minister to apologise to us all....then she could offer us all some counseling, yeah then someone could give us all some sort of compensation, yeah then they could start up a department with a million people running it to administrate it all, then..............I think you get the idea! ;)

I told my missus that any thing that tastes as bad as mangos do has just gotta be bad for ya, sheez poor bloke a yucky yellowy gold strewth.

I have kept out of this debate for good reason my brother in-law is Aboriginal and a better bloke you’d be hard pressed to find, Elaine ran a kinder garden and worked with Aboriginal people for more than 20 years, I think unless you have first hand knowledge best to keep strum.

I’m with you Ross.

Hey Marty - Did he never consider becoming a Buddhist Monk? Sounds to me like he would have had wonderful colour co ordination with the saffron robes :P
