Now a lot of you would have had contact with Dave Myers through his rounds of festivals and such and enjoyed his laconic humor and poetry and music.

Now with the many thanks of Laurie McDonald and Denise they have produced a rather nice book with a lot of David’s Works in fact 39 of his works taking over a whole 54 pages in all, a delightful book well worth the $7 dollars which includes postage

Please let me know and I will give further info when required

Good on you Bill,

I bought my copy at Cobargo Festival. It is 54 pages of poetry. No space wasted with illustrations. Not all rhyming poems but all poetry never the less. Perhaps you might ask for the copyright holders (if there is one) if you can put a poem up on the site. 'Monaro Morning' seems to be the chosen signature poem. They still haven't found a copy of the 'ride-on mower' poem. I do hope we can find it because it is a riot of fun.

A story about David; At the first Illawarra Folk Festival at Bulli, (since moving from Jambaroo valley), the committee tought that - as the Bulli arena is used as a Harness racing and Greyhound racing facility, they would have some "Greyhound/dog" oriented concerts sprinkled through the Festival. David was also a singer and played his own backing music on guitar. He was programmed to do a song in the 'Dog' concert. At the end of the Poets Breakfast he took the microphine and in his usual dry understated way asked
"Is there anyone who might know the words to 'How Much is That Doggie in The Window'? can you please stay and give us a hand to write them out. I have to perform it in half an hour". I stayed and we nutted them out, and he sang it at the concert as though he had rehearsed it for weeks.
