Yeah, I have spent the last twenty years living in the centre, and a few prior to that working in remote communities in SA and NT. While I am quite happy with my sea change, I do miss the desert a bit from time to time, it is good that I can get paid to go and get a fix occasionally...

Plus as you're not constantly out there, there's more than likely a renewed appreciation of it all (the scenery, not the work).
