I suppose one could say that practicing scales and arpeggios is a lousy exercise for a musician or weekday training is a lousy exercise for football players. :roll:

Anyone can say its a lousy exercise, how is that statement backed up by proper logic and reasoning.

I gave the reason why it is good. It is an exercise in learning how to distil language, a vital skill for poetry. Aren't we all interested in developing good poetry skills.
