TANKA ?

It's like an oven
we moan in sticky sweat.
Air conditioning
blows a chill across the room

Thanks Maureen and Shellley. I have a book by Andrew Lansdown called Allsorts. He is an Australian poet, who writes a lot of Japanese style poetry it's marvellous stuff and quite hard to do right. Andrew Lansdown has a number of books out on gentle style poetry. His latest is Kyoto Momiji Tanka, Poems and photographs of Japan in Autumn.
