The Many Moods of Autumn
The golden glow of autumn stirs the hearts of lovers everywhere,
as calmness seems to settle and there’s music in the air.
For it’s a peaceful time, a precious time, before the seasons change
and natures brush is busy for there’s much to rearrange.
like painting leaves in vibrant colours all throughout the countryside,
a gift to lift our hearts for soon the seasons will collide.
And for a while it seems as though the world has slowed its headlong rush
and paused for breath as nature spreads its rustic autumn blush.
A time for picnics fun and revel in the game of life’s charades,
or hear the tinkling laughter as a tiny stream cascades,
out over stones and pebbles as it ever slowly wends its way.
That’s much like life itself with something different each day.
So even on a cloudy day with intermittent burst of rain,
there’s magic with the raindrops dancing on your windowpane.
For soon the sun will shine again ensuring funs not over yet,
there’s time to recall friendships too, for how could one forget.
Then for a moment, stop and think about this life and love you share,
because you know despite the doubts, deep down you really care.

Love it Terry - you made great use of the prompts and I especially liked
Reading your lovely poem I felt very peaceful - your words painted a beautiful picture for me. Well done.
although I think you should be using 'stream' singular in these lines.A time for picnics fun and revel in the game of life’s charades,

You're Right Maureen I had made a change and forgot to balance it out with stream - not streams.
Thanks Terry

Hi Terry,
Yes your descriptive mastery shines through again.
And as you say in your last lines, it certainly can make you stop and think about life.
Well done mate.
Cheers
Ron
