On the subject of nicknames . . . what's with the "Bobbit" - correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the name of the bloke who's missus lopped off his 'old fella' some years back over in Seppoland?

Geez  if she's comin' to visit ya mate, keep the sharp knifes well hid . . . . . or else you may be :? Bobette

Sue, (aka mummsie) has a face! A nice friendly one. Nice to see you Sue. 8-)

Dave, the difference is you are going there to entertain; I am going to be entertained! No pressure see!

Marty (& Bobbo), Bobbit was the surname of the unfortunate cad whose long suffering wife wielded the carving knife. Bobbo's safe Marty - he's not my problem, he's someone else's! He's safe, I'm not travelling with the knives this trip. Can't take them on the plane.

Heather :)

Must have missed this one. Knives hey gonna have to be frisked at the airport before we allow you into Central Queensland. Kym is gonna pick you up I assume ?

Get her to drive down Quay street on the way into town you will love all the historical buildings along the river.

Good advice there Bob - I had the pleasure of staying in the lovely old hotel on the river just near the bridge - can't remember the name of it but it is a grand building. Sandstone and regal. My son was building houses up there and I had the choice of sleeping on a concrete floor on a blow up airbed in a home at lock up stage or staying somewhere else. Knowing how much I love old places he booked me in here, with a big verandah right outside the bedroom door overlooking the river. How beautiful.

Only thing was I was right above the disco - which was held Friday AND Saturday night - lucky I survive on minimal sleep these days.

Some gorgeous buildings in Rocky Heather - well worth a look.

That would be The Criterion or the Cri to the locals. I did some poetry there a few years back for an bloke from America who came out during the war. He returns every couple of years to catch up and stays in that same room. John Mahoney form Illinois not sure if I spelt that right. I wrote a poem for his 90 th birthday and met him and recited if at his birthday do along with a few other Aussie poems. He loved it.

Your are right they have the night club down stairs.
