...funny you should say that Heather, that is exactly what we were taught as kids. The problem there was...is... that we came from hard working stock and that meant big eaters, a habit I find hard to break to this day....and it shows.... :oops:

Good poem Ross! You have to wonder don't you how those old ringers and bushman who lived on corn beef and damper lasted at all.
Reading The Territory by Ernestine Hill. Marvelous book and I am really enjoying the historical detail.
