To Jasper

Post by Terry Cutting » Sat Oct 06, 2012 9:19 pm

I wrote this while waiting to photograph the sunrise on the
morning of the birth by C Section of one of my many Grandchildren.
This poem is printed on a photo I took that morning and hangs on his bedroom wall.

To Jasper

The gentle breeze it touched me
From the east it came my way
It heralded the sunrise
This will be a special day

The trees they hardly notice it
And grasses grace it's will
The sounds of morning fill the air
The lambs will drink their fill

I stand upon a hillside with
The breeze fresh on my face
I think about your coming birth
About the world you'll grace

The sun comes up to light the day
The crow's call sounds forlorn
The golden rays they touch my face
What a great day to be borne

Welcome.

Well written Terry, I'm sure your grand child ( Boy or Girl ? ) would look at this and the love it conveys.

Lovely Terry and you will never forget those moments because they are associated with the birth of your grand child.

Heather :)
