Just looking through my list of poems and came across this little gem....I have no idea why I wrote it or whether I ever posted it or what, it just made me chuckle!
‘TIME, TIME”
© Ross Magnay 16/8/08
Time, time there goes all the time, eating up the scenery,
chipping at my mind,
replacing all the memories with open vacant space,
stealing youth away from me and furrowing my face.
Time, time there goes all the time, fogging up my vision,
trying to make me blind,
sending up my belt size while my shoes are still the same,
come on mother nature, what’s your bloody game?
don't know where this came from

Like Maureen, when I started reading I slipped into the song 'Signs ' by Five Man Electrical Band.
I wonder if this was the influence for the verse.

You are on to it Allen. I don't remember why I wrote it, but it was inspired by that song.
