Really enjoyed this Wendy! I am a reasonably good sleeper (except when David's breed of "cats" disturb me)!
My husband is the insomniac in our house, and no preparation known to man has any effect on him (not even home brew Ross)! Years ago he had a work accident and badly fractured his wrist. Our local ortho surgeon was on holidays so I had to get him to Bundaberg which is 1.5 hours north. Our GP gave him a shot of pethidine and said he would sleep most of the way. No chance! We arrived with him as wide awake as ever.
