Maureen... howyadoin’ girl.
Have no fears. My ‘german mate’ is an Alsatian bitch that lives with old mate over the way. He has a small farm, about 200 acres and agists stock that gets driven into ‘my’ cattle yards. Old mate and his family simply dote on the dog, and I can not fault that dog in any description. It is correct weight, excellent coat ... blah blah.... even the claws are in perfect condition. The dog has a super nature and is absolutely no threat to man nor beast. It lives with old mate and the family, is broken to stock and wildlife and I just love having that dog make me one of its friends. When Glenny is here, Ella, the dog, doesn’t know which one to fuss first. The dog is so lovely and I would hate to see it come to harm.
I take your point entirely about feral dog packs and I would be the first one out there to eradicate (shoot) them... dog lover or not. In the final analysis, shooting the lot is the best thing both for the dogs ( I detest cyanide poisoning) and the folk who live from the hardships of this country’s land.
Have no fears girl...
