Talk About Lucky.

Post by Dave Smith » Mon Jun 25, 2012 5:39 pm

I’ve Been indoors all day today it’s only three or four deg. outside and I was bored so I turned the air-con to hot and sat at the computer, this is the best I could do.

Talk About Lucky.
Dave Smith.
06/12

We’ve out here at the cemetery I think I’ve had me lot,
They’re looking round the gravesites looking for a plot.

I’ve been such a gentle soul it really seems a crime,
I think they’ll have me in the ground well before me time.

I tried to be real good to them and supply the things they need,
All me crying and me begging there’re not taking any heed.

I’ve been picking up the rubbish and tidying where I can,
And moving rather spritely, to show I’m such a virile man.

The kids are out here too, picking flowers up off the ground,
Looking for the sad bare graves and sharing them around.

Then suddenly it clicked with me, I know just why we came!
We’re walking up and down the isles looking for a name.

We’ve come to visit granny she’s been here for a while,
Now we ‘re headin’ home again, It’s enough to make ya smile. :P

unless Granny was buried in the islands somewhere Dave   it was aisles you were walking up not isles - just thought you would like to know that - :o  lol - did you find her? Cemeterys can be very interesting if you can get past the obvious not so nice aspect of them.

Hope you have got some warm Ugg boots to keep your tootsies warm - it is cold here today but not quite that cold

Cheers

Maureen

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

Dave a few year back I went in search of my Great Great grandfathers grave and located it at a property just outside Rockhampton.

Something very sobering about looking at a grave stove with Robert Pacey on it. :?

Keep ducking and weaving mate makes for a harder target.

Cheers Bob

Yes, I went searching for my Grandfather's grave a few years back, but I was drunk when I shot him and can't remember where the hell I buried the old bastard.
