FLY IN FORMATION

FLY IN FORMATION

“Fly straight in formation team, toe the Party line,
and soon the keys to the Lodge will rightly be all mine”.
The Mad Monk’s incantation has proven to be true
with the Seat of Parliament now largely Tory blue.

Stop the boats, cut the debt, flick the carbon tax,
there is much to do before the blue bloods can relax,
funny, how in Opposition, one can fire the shots
but, with the boot on other foot, “Ts need crossing, Is” need dots.

There’s no fear of great unwashed, the skies are fairly clear,
that pinko crowd of Socialists are routed, nowhere near.
It looked at one stage Kevvie on his own would turn up trumps
though, no formation saw his mob out well ahead of stumps.

Bandits maybe there to strike, from Senate House up high,
Big Clive and his posse are there to police the sky.
Imagine the chaos that a “Brick with Eyes” can cause,
Lazarus arising aint no Santa Claus.

Clive himself in the Lower House will make his presence felt,
secure yourselves Pollies, you need a helmet and seat belt.
While to some, Mr Palmer may seem a tad bizarre,
many others gladly would bid him au revoir.

And don’t forget the Greenies, they’re sure to fire some flak,
their best form of defence is centred round attack,
whales to save, trees to hug, plus asylum seekers,
lung fish, same sex marriage, to Greens the lot are keepers.

Unfortunate Bob Katter has but one plane in the air,
it flies in formation cause no one else is there,
seems the whole electorate did not agree with Bob,
nonetheless, Bob’s not scared to open up his gob.

Satirical reflection on happenings vital to our land,
hopefully, outcomes won’t reveal policies built on sand,
in truth though, we must all come to the admissions
regardless who we vote for, we end up with politicians.

well done.

I don't think it will take Clive long to get bored with the whole thing Jeff.

Bob
The purpose in life is to have fun.
