THE RISE OF THE MACHINES – It’s Started
It could be happening right here, for all we really know,
the fuse may now be well alight and ready soon to blow.
It sounds like science fiction from a movie I had seen;
computers were our masters and believe me they were mean.
Now you may think I’m mad, or that my brain cells are deceased,
but strange thing have been going on; at my house here at least.
An artificial new intelligence has now emerged,
and taken over our TV’s, refusing to be purged.
The TV in the lounge room switches off if it gets bored,
but works ok with sport; as long as lots of runs are scored.
The small one in the bedroom here can mute it’s self at will;
the way it hates commercials, makes me sure that it could kill.
I reckon they’re communicating; hatching plans anew,
they’re on the same antenna now and therein lies the clue.
There’s no human intervention - and no, not a fib or two
for all that’s been described in this - is absolutely true.

It's obviously a conspiracy Terry. "First we'll take Manhattan, then we'll take Berlin!"
It's a fun poem and it's good to see you off to a good start to the year.

Hi Matt, Heather & Maureen
Matt
I live in hope mate, and I'm pleased to report with the exception of my knees I'm pretty well back to my best.
Don't know about the bush but will head to Peaceful Bay shortly.
I'm walking (well hobbling) about a kilometer a day now and the knees are improving.
Heather
With all the terrible things happening around the world I felt a bit of fun nonsense was in order.
Hi Maureen
It's happening alright Maureen, as mentioned in the poem our two TV's are either switching off or muting themselves for no reason.
My computer also has a mind of it's own at times - it's a worry!
Thanks all
Terry

No Heather ..."We'll take Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island too."
