Re: What's in a name ??
I'm coming in rather late on this and have only read a few of the posts.
An early one of Matry's caught my eye.
He was saying that rhyme and meter can stifle (or words to that effect) and he's right, but on the flip side they can really enhance words as well, if well done.
As Marty went on to say that's the challenge of writing poetry.
I remember Zondrae once saying "English can be such a beautiful Language" and I agree

To use Richie 's word "Gosh",
Did I say that. Well I will agree with myself... English can be such a beautiful language. Now if I could only learn to spell the blighter properly I'd die a happy woman.
I am going to make my bed and sweep the floors and go outside to see if I can find something to write a poem about. The garden is over grown because of the weather, rain, sun rain, sun. The apricot tree thinks it is spring, but I'm shivering.
I saw two of my little frogs among the foliage a few days back and all the tadpoles seem to have gone. Oh well lets hope they come home to spawn. So with that ramble I'm off.

Zondrae,
I think the great richness and also the great difficultly with English is the insatiable borrowing from other languages. And now with the dominance of English speakers in the technological world, other countries are borrowing from English. Even the intractable French are starting cave in to that trend
I hate gardening Zondrae. Mr Roundup is the gardener's friend in this place.
