What happened to that saying 'We're Here For The Long Haul', these days it seems that a lot jump of at the first bus stop for one reason or another.
I had a quick count of friends and relatives I know and was surprised just how many of their marriages have come to grief.

Of course there are the sad cases as well where one partner has passed away.

Just to be happy is worth heaps I reckon, because there are a lot who aren't.

Terry I think you can recover from the breakup the hard part is dealing with all the lies and deceit that preceded it.

G/day Bob,
You're probably right mate, but at least in some cases the bitterness festers away. I've sat around the campfire while blokes have bared their souls, most (whether fair or otherwise) are very bitter towards their exes and the system, even after many years. Some of these blokes have since been in and out of numerous relationships but never seem to be able to find anyone permanent.
An interesting thing is that so many of prospecting blokes I know have had marriages come to grief, not surprising I suppose.

Cheers Terry

I have not seen my ex since we split in 2006 and really don't want or need to.

Yeah I would say that bitterness can stay for quite a while but the kids and grandkids do not give you a lot of time to fester.

Terry, where's your face gone?

Bobbo, festering is bad for your health. Let it go.

Heather :)
