Finally had a quiet moment to read it Neville and I really like it too, especially that last stanza - great stuff. Also the line "red dust will shroud me when I die".

I remember when I was a kid my dad brought home a movie (a proper projection movie) - I've no idea of the name of it but it was about a mother and daughter who got lost in the desert. I know there was a mail man in the story. Perhaps it was Birdsville? I remember the dust storms. I think it may have been a true story and it haunted me. I was only little but I've never forgotten it. Someone a bit older than me might know of it :)
