THE FICKLE JADE . . .

Post by Cas van Loon » Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:28 am

In whatever shape or form Dame Fortune is to most people, it lures us with a smile
or frowning, giving the impression to make us feel afraid life is not worthwhile
in world of gain and loss, it's sometimes not easy to keep in adversity a smiling face
it is strength of character, determination in what gives us the will whichever to embrace

Never hold grievances if happiness is your goal, keep grudges hidden, troubles will be less
ignore irksome ills of chance, keep happy, the world is waiting to welcome cheerfulness
the threatening fears the inner life can hold are the key to many a moment of pure joy
when used in an effective way, it's just like a child that just has been given a new toy

To keep your nerve, that you'll have to learn at all times, maybe something is not right
exaggeration leads to hasty acts, taking a stand for what is just, we have to fight
look for bright skies, when clouds are dark, low, dwelling on troubles makes them grow
make the best of things you've got, cheerful hearts are not sad, we have to have joy

Cheer up others in their sorrows, grief or pain, lend comfort and strength to start again
bring sunshine into their darkened life, change tears to smiles, easing some one's pain
your kindly word is like a jewel on a string, like sunshine, breaking through darkest cloud
it will bring lots of happiness, sweeten anger, let's face it, isn't this what life is all about

Smiles will cheer the lonely, comforting to a soul, summoning hope, when it looks bad
to drive tears away, bidding sorrows to depart, cost is nothing, much joy to be had
take life as it comes, seek out only the best, let Faith guide your destiny, leave the rest
so if Dame Fortune smiles upon you, choose that which makes life worthwhile and best

I like your jewel on a string Cas and embrace your philosophy - more smiles and cheerfulness can only be a good thing. Smiles tend to be catching - spread the disease.

Cheers

I was wondering what model or principle you use for your writing. I found it quite difficult to read because of the inexplicable gaps in the syntax.

Hi Neville, There is no particular model that I use to do my writing. What you read is what you get and that is pure me. Perhaps it doesn't suit everybody but then again I don't suit everybody either. That's me. Thanks for the comment. :?
