Hi Maureen,
Good to be back, I seem to have lost all my poetry from the site. One particular word dance was Australia's Single Dad, The Country Dancer and is one of the reasons for my absence. Emund is now published in the form of a picture book. It takes longer to draw pictures than it does to write the words!
I noticed you have collaboration group which is wonderful; you are all so brilliant!

Yes the collaborations pop up occasionally. Any one can start them...hop in and have ago they are good fun..they seem to turn up when we are all getting a bit bored and they get the juices going. We also have a fortnightly homework project going where you get a few prompts to use., and can use all or just one. Once again just jump right on it. and we have also started up an audio section as well.

You are going to have a lot of catching up to do.

The old site crashed and everything went down the gurgler. The site we are using today has only been going since about November. Mannie is trying to recover the stuff off the old site but not really sure how it is going I think he has had some success but don't think it will appear here but in a view only format.

Is there a link where we can see your illustrations - sure many would be interested. We are having books being done right left and centre by members at the moment, it is wonderful to see and they have also been cleaning up on awards at the major comps. All good stuff.

So many new things I need to learn.
I will read the poetry and join in if I can and the fact that others can share is wonderful.
As for a link, where would I put it?
If I post the original word dance, do I post the link to the website at the bottom of it?
I can't find a place to up load pictures, or I would.
The book is available as a download as well as a soft cover book.

if you can guide me I will be most pleased....

Easy way to do it is tag your link to your web page or whatever to the bottom of your poem that way people can read your work and then go and have a look. (not the whole book) on the home page there is a register of modern poets and this is where most of our people who have CD's, books etc for sale seem to place their products. I am not very familiar with the procedure here but I am sure that either Manfred or Zondrae would have that info if you require it and you could just PM them for details.

If you want to add a photo (a small one) just follow on as you see below where you can attach a file - just click onto the choose file prompt and then follow the prompts through to download your picture..I don't think you will run into trouble but make sure you have resized your photo first down to an email or small web page size otherwise it will be too big, and then would probably reject here..

Thank you I have made my first post (some of you may recognize it), with a couple of pictures and a link to the South Australian State Library, so people can ask to borrow it.

Now I will get off your page and back to reading everyone's rhythms and rhymes.

Hi Worddancer
Just went and checked out your books on the Lulu site - they look great! Are any of them suitable for under 5's? I notice two of them are for 5 - 10 yrs, but weren't sure about the others.
I love books, and hope to pass that on to my grand-daughter! Mind you, I have heaps of kids books at home from when my kids were little, but...... well, you can never have too many books, I say!!!

hello Irene,
I'm working on my next book so I need these little breaks from staring into the Wacom screen, (my magical virtual canvas).
Thank you for taking the time to check out my progress in publishing.
The Big Book of Sooty's Adventures is a collection of stories (very short), written for grandchildren a 3yrs a five yrs old.
Fairy Buttercup is also for young children about kindy age to year 3 at school.
The Thelma Driver Story Book contains stories for ages 7 to 10.
All are picture books.
The Lords Songs is a collection of songs of praise and little prayers written each morning by my friend Thelma Driver. She has just turned 89 and her stories and manuscripts have laid buried on the floor of her wardrobe the 1960s. She asked if I could help get them published; so I have.

You are absolutely correct, one cannot have too many books.

What a good Dad Emund is - and all that time without a beer A lesson in a fun story is always the best way to teach kids IMO or adults quite often - well done...good book
