ALL THE RIVERS RUN

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Sat Jun 25, 2011 10:59 am

ALL THE RIVERS RUN

She started as the Barcoo,
up on the slopes of the Warrego
flowing northwest out to Blackall
and meeting with Alice there,
then they both swung south to Isisford
and joined up with the Thompson
Now they are renamed as Cooper
and they’re heading to Lake Eyre.

The Cooper now is running,
flowing south of Innaminka
visiting Embarka Swamp
as it meanders on its way.
Flooding gibber plains and sand dunes
this year there is lots of water
but will the Cooper make Lake Eyre?
Maybe – though who can say.

Some fabulous footage here of Lake Eyre as she currently is, and get that dingo peeing on the camera - that is a dog with attitude.
