G/day Bill,
Where do you fish these days, up in the Snowies? I have fished the upper Eucumbene River with my son in law plus a couple of other streams the last couple of times I have been over your way.

I mostly fish the beaches now Terry. Was an avid lure fisherman in the Fitzroy river when i lived in Rockhamton.

Thsi is my last one off the beach a bonus when you are fishing for flathead and swallowtail dart.

Oyster cracker weight 9.7 kilos.

Where i fish about half an hour Terry but actually a five minute walk from the local beach. The park I work at is on the banks of the Causeway lake which is tidal.

Beautiful poem Terry, as usual!! Very much captures your love of the land.
I am so looking forward to retirement and being able to just travel out east and north!
My daughter was home recently and told me we needed a holiday - she started organising an itinery for us, heading up along the coast to Exmouth. The old man loves the ocean, and it is lovely up there, but any holiday would need to include some time heading inland away from the coast!! Must start planning something for next year!!
See you at Cervantes???

Thanks Irene,
Your Granddaughters growing fast isn't she, Val has just finishes her second Quilt for our youngest Grandson, she had already made one for his brother.

Irene buy your Hubby a Metal detector and then he can combine his fishing with a bit of gold prospecting, most prospectors love fishing and vice versa, and you would get to spend a bit of time inland off the beaten track. It's win win.

Cheers terry

Heather you may be surprised just how keen some women are at detecting, it's not unusual to come across a couple where the wife is the one who's really into it, and make no mistake most women I've come across are very good at it as well.

My wife worked full time with me for quite a few years and was exceptional at it.

Generally speaking women are more patient than men as well.

Cheers Terry
