DON'T SEND THEM TO AUSTRALIA

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Fri Aug 12, 2011 5:58 pm

I think I can safely say that Aussies have been horrified at the riots IN England and our thoughts are with the people suffering through these difficult times. More so if we have friends and family over there

Australia used to be a penal colony many moons ago - doubt if half the convicts that came out here back then matched these young thugs. Our National anthem is Advance Australia Fair. Know the tune?? Sing along then

DON’T SEND THEM TO AUSTRALIA

All Yobbos of England unite
for you are young and free
and that you are, and now have rights,
was paid for painfully.
Men fought and died to give you this
and yet it’s plain to see
that you have no respect for that
or love for your country.

They died because they loved their land
and for its people cared.
They died because they all believed
in what was right and fair.
But when we see the likes of you
it seems they didn’t win
the war to keep your country safe -
the enemies within.

Beneath your countries soft blue skies
men toil with hearts and hand.
They claim ‘this England’ to be theirs.
This you don’t understand.
For those who’ve come across the seas,
who for your country care,
the bounties that they’ve earnt by toil
aren’t gifts but payment fair.

And now we see their hard work trashed,
homes and workplace on fire.
We watch and see you on our screens
destroying with your ire.
We see you rob your countrymen
with great impunity.
We see and wonder why it is
that scum like you are free .

What goes around Mate comes around
as one day you will find.
You will not bring your country down
despite your feeble mind.
There’s better men by far than you
more worthy of a place
to live and raise a family.
You are a wasted space.

And if these words are hurtful Mate -
too bad, so sad, don’t care.

I think most of the one's causeing the trouble in England are just louts who are out to grab whatever goods they can whilst the police attention is diverted.

Deserve all they get.

Agree Bob - the modern methods of crime and punishment aren't working, the police are powerless. I wouldn't waste a dollar putting them in jail. Set up stocks on street corners let them be punished by their peers and just to add a sting to the tail a taste of the cat before they are realised - one or two should do the trick no sense in overkill..

Might make them think twice about the pain they have caused to others when they feel a bit of pain themselves and probably wouldn't be real keen on getting another taste of it at a future date. Couldn't blame the courts and the justice system if it was the British public pelting them with rotten vegetables and eggs and other noisesome items could they.

Just so long as they don't come here

It's all too late Maureen. The crop has been sown, now is the time to reap the harvest. If you have sown paspalum you wont get a harvest of lucerne.

to true Neville - one must be vigilant and remove it constantly - year 3 and I haven't noticed any Paspalum this year and only the odd bindi here and there. I have spent hours digging them out by hand over those 3 years so the prickles don't get into the girls feet. Maybe just maybe I have beaten it.

Weeding is the answer, in lots of areas.   .

Love the poem Maureen!
Thing that intrigues me is we the older brigade (or more senior members of society if you prefer) were told that we were on the wrong track and using the wrong methods to raise children and to prepare our off spring to take their place in society.
Our education system was wrong, our discipline methods were wrong and it was not right to expect that our children should respect authority and obey the police and the law.
Children should be encouraged to question every aspect of society and if they disagreed with their parents they should not only be able to leave home but should also receive funding to do so.
I could go on but I am sure I have made the point that apparently we were not wrong and as Neville says we have sown the seed and now we are harvesting the crop.
Sad part is it was all so predictable and obvious to us poor old dinosaurs!

The ones causeing all the trouble are just thieves pretending to be following the cause when they are just in it for what they can loot and pillage. Now the pollies are coping it because the courts are pushing offenders throught the system quickly.

Nothing that a good swift kick up the whatsit would not have fixed when they were younger.

No doubt there's a bunch of hooligans in there. But perhaps if Blair hadn't opened the borders to allow streams of 'newcomers' to just walk into the country....& take the jobs from the young ones, the fundamental frustration of the UK born folk would not have fuelled the fire. I'm not excusing the abysmal behaviour, but fair suck of the sav. They had to sack a cartload of Polish bus drivers because they could not speak English, & therefore could not even read the road signs....Ay??

I think Martyboy is onto it. Those in power are either stupid.... or they're traitors....& they ain't stupid! mutter mutter growl grizzle....
