it's pretty basic; They bloodywell can't so they invent something they 'bloody-well' can...or any no-talent can, & just to be sure, they huddle together, clamouring at the media's doorstep to 'promote', (ie. sign up as many of their kind as possible into their loser ranks) until the subsequent attrition of the authentic talent becomes 'sooo yesterday' because 'there's more of us no-talents & we are therefore modern!..because we say so. (How else could we ever 'compete'?)

Of COURSE there are more of 'them' than 'us'. There has always been more of 'them' than there is of authentic Craftsmen.
Of COURSE they will denigrate us. How else will they shroud their fear... of being exposed for what they are?...a gaggle of 'would be if I could be but never will be's...'

I reckon if you put appropriate line-breaks in that rant, Glenny . . . it'd be free verse gold! :D

OOOWAH! ...it was a bit of a rant, eh? Well, ya see, croc's not here, so...what's a girl to do? Going 'rantless' around here is pretty...well...abnormal...pardon the pun.

Signed: Glenny (cos I haveta use croc's login cos the site's telling me to bugger off!)...can't imagine why...

Goodo warooa....you shove it inta 'line breaks'...but don't get any sweat on ya collar doing it....or you may be overcome with...'intimacy'...(somebody shoot me)

Goodonya Glenny,

For a little while there I was thinking of chucking it all in and taking up finger painting. I love being thought of as an artisan. Now if I off load a few books over Easter I will feel like a real proper poet. Still haven't got anything worth sending in to the Bronze Swagman though... oh well, there's always next year.

Go on Zondrae,

You're well known and admired throughout the Bush Poetry world; now get the pen out and do something for the Swagmam. Failing that look back through your poems that have won either a HC or a C, both of which are eligible this year.

Cheers Terry
