GOSFORD BUSH POETS
G'day Everyone,
Before I get on with telling you about what a wonderful night next Wednesday night 18 April (yes I know it is not the last Wednesday of the month, but as previously reported, this month we are meeting a week earlier than usual due to Anzac Day) will be, I simply must report on what an amazing month April has been for the Gosford Bush Poets!!!
Firstly our mates Peter Mace and Ken Tough (with their support staff, Anita and Jennifer) travelled to the Man From Snowy River Festival held at Corryong, Victoria, where Peter won the Australian Champion Bush Poet's Award with Ken taking out a very credible, and I'm told, fiercely fought third place!!!
Then it was on to the National Folk Festival in Canberra where eleven members of the fabulous Gosford Bush Poets admirably represented our group at the Festival's spoken word program which extends over four days and nights with yours truly being awarded the National Folk Festival's Reciter's Award for 2012!
Those who attend the NFF were: Peter and Anita Mace; Ken and Jennifer Tough; Nick and Jan Lock; Fran Bush; Brian Bell; Linda Scott and Helen and I. Easily the largest single contingent amongst the two to three hundred people who attended the Poet's Breakfasts each day.
Now down to business. At 7pm next Wednesday night (18/4) the Gosford Bush Poets will meet at their fabled HQs the Gosford Hotel, to present a wonderful night of poetry, verse and a little music. Our very special guest artist for the evening will be a bloke who is renowned throughout the folk scene in Australia as a wonderful poet; musician; author; raconteur and genuine larrikin: Roger Montgomery. Roger has just appeared as a featured artist at the National Folk Festival in Canberra and prior to his appearing at the St Alban's Folk Festival we have managed to convince him visit the GBPs.
This will be a humdinger of a night and a great evening of very much laughter! Do not miss seeing Roger next Wednesday night and be sure to be early to secure your seat.
Entrance as always is entirely free and everyone will have a chance to present a poem before we experience the many and varied wonderful talents of our guest artist.
For further information contact me on 0425252212.
Very Best Regards
VIc Jefferies

Re: GOSFORD BUSH POETS
Sounds like a great weekend and good on you - the win just keep coming and the winners are grinners. well done.
Zondrae if you reduce those pictures down first to 800 x 600 size that's a small document size or 640 x 480 which is large web size then save them at that size. Go into your post and reopen it if that is where you want to add the picture - go down to file name and click on choose file - that will take you to the photos on your computer, click onto the one you want, then come back on the web page and click onto add file and a little graph thingy will open up. When you see that it has stopped moving then click onto submit file and your picture should be here.
Easy as
Cheers

Problem is Mureen
This Mac doesn't have a 'reduce' button. It only has a web or email, or facebook. There has to be a way. I'll try again tomorrow.
