Bronze Swagman
I see the Bronze Swagman do not mention in their rules that a poem cannot have been published. Does this mean a poem placed on the forum here can be entered?
I see also that the rules have changed this year. I have not entered the Bronze Swagman for a while. Is this one of the changes they are alluding to? Does anybody know?

Re: Bronze Swagman
Stephen,
The Bronze Swagman usually say they are trying to encourage the writing of new works. Also I would not 'test' the waters with such a high profile comp. They usually say entries must be written in the preceding 12 months. I always read the conditions three or four times on this one because they change every year.

Re: Bronze Swagman
Thanks, Zondrae. It's a new poem I have in mind, but I did post it recently on the forum. I can't see anywhere in the rules that that would be a problem, but I thought I would seek other opinions nonetheless given that it is, as you say, such a high profile comp.

If in doubt email the organisers Stephen. Some say being on the net is "published".

Yes, I understand that, Heather, but the point is that the Bronze Swagman rules this year do not say anything about being published. They read as though it is not an issue either way.

Re: Bronze Swagman
Maybe it's not an issue then Stephen. If it's not specifically mentioned in the entry conditions you are probably safe.
