Festival issue three.
Exactly one month to go until QPF 2012 lights up the Judith Wright Centre - the countdown has begun!
I've spent the last few weeks editing the 2012 QPF Anthology, spoken in one strange word, featuring a poem from every poet on the program. It was such a pleasure to discover the flavour of each individual poet, and explore the crossovers and divergence in theme, imagery, and style between all the artists who will grace the stage come August. It attests to the breadth of diversity and talent in the program for the festival this year. The anthology is a limited edition print, available only through the QPF Bookstore from 24 - 26 August. And to get a live dose, come along to the Saturday night QPF signature session A Million Bright Things (Sat 25 Aug, 8pm), a wild and wonderous night that features every poet on the program.
In the meantime, spread the word - we'll be tweeting #qpf12, so please join in the conversation. And don't forget to get your tickets to the opening night spectacular Tongues of Flame here.
Love,
Sarah.

Re: Qld Poetry Festival.
I am not sure if a place called The Judith Wright Centre might be amenable to homespun bush poetry.

Most likely correct.
However, some members may have interests other than or in addition to 'homespun' bush poetry.
