Postquoital Shrinkage
© Stephen Whiteside 19.10.2012
Have you ever noticed that the world seems slightly larger,
When the quoits are flying freely and your pulse is racing fast;
That the colours all glow brighter and the noises are much louder
When the game is at its climax - but of course it cannot last.
Have you ever noticed that the world seems slightly smaller
When the game at last has ended and you're sitting in your chair;
That the colours all seem muted and the noises all are softer
As your pulse begins its slowing, and you sit and dumbly stare.

I am just not game to follow where my humour would have me.
You make people smile Stephen.
Tell me, do you smoke after quoits?

Yep
I used to play a lot of quoits
Opponents I could lick ‘em
While they would tend to throw their quoits
I was inclined to kick ‘em
