I'm starting to feel like the man from Ironbark!

"'Twas just a harmless little joke, a trifle overdone." - but I'm not sure it was overdone.

Oh sweet mystery of life at last I've found you.

Student Prince I think?

..and that about sums it up.

As William Hughes Mearns wrote back in 1899:

Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away
When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door
Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away!

And now Stephen has created the topic that wasn't there.

The intellectual discussions you miss when you go away.

But I got to see and hear Pat Drummond, nah, nah, nah!

...I just finished trolling through this lot....& I learnt some very new lessons about myself! Firstly...until it was explained...(thank you doctor)...I was convinced that I was an absolute retard. Everyone else seemed to be right on the money & intellectually discussing....something...
Secondly...that it may be wiser, in the future, to not automatically assume that ''the problem'' rests with me. I just might be right some of the time!....what a relief! That's very clever doctoring Stephen....give me a problem I didn't previously have...& then fix it for me...(as if I wasn't confused enough to start with...)
A good brain workout mate...& a jolly good laugh.
Gotta fly...or ''duck''...I sense a starving eagle behind me....... :D
The purpose of my life is to serve as a warning to others.
