Thank you all for your kind wishes, I must be a reasonable poet....I have convinced most of you that I deserve a break!... I am looking forward to it all and so is Sheryl, The thing I will miss the most is my grandkids but I do know I will miss the desert...but not enough to move back!... :D

Yeah Heather, I am well aware of the planes thing, the 1600 Km is no big deal to me, I have driven a lot of miles...or kilometres in my time, as long as I don't have to rush I am still happy to do it, both our kids are still here so there will always be an excuse to get back for a visit!

You could always plant a cactus garden & pinch a roo or two & a coupl'a king browns to put in it...that'd keep you in the loop?

Go Roscoe!!...literally. Have a blast mate!!

...big move Bob...ever get homesick?....

You watch too much TV Glenny! There are no cactus in our deserts! There is still plenty of bush around Lincoln, kangaroos and brumbies, no mulga or desert oak and like Matt said, the sand squeaks when you walk on it and it is white instead of red. Can't catch whiting in the desert though and it will make a change to look out the window to see the sea rather than the ranges......I'm sure I'll adapt!... ;)
