Yea Your Right,
I don't take frozen meals with me but do take Frozen meat chicken fish etc to cook up there, always take fresh fruit and veg and try to hit town about every two weeks to replenish them. One golden rule we have on our trips is to have a dry camp, on very rare occasions we might might have taken a half a dozen light beer or something to celebrate a birthday but very rarely, plenty of time to celebrate if you want to when we return.

Hi Marty & Bob,
I guess you go out for a bit of fun and a holiday, or you go out trying to earn a living.

Plenty do take booze, while others race of to the nearest town at the drop of a hat, each for his own I guess.

Cheers Terry

Red meat ... I love it and there has to be a bit of fat. Lately my wife has been buying lean mince to make the rissoles. It just doesn't work. I reckon lean equals dry.
Loved the poem Ross.
But I agree with Martyboy. Been on a few camping/fishing trips with mates. They're reasonably wet and I don't mean the fishing.

Thanks Wazza.
I got back from what I hope is my last dry desert trip last Thursday night, funny thing is, the road which is usually pretty badly corrugated was probably the best I have ever seen it! They must have known it was my last trip! Kintore, 500k's west of Alice in the Gibson Desert....I hope I never see it again!
