I am a little firefly. I know – ho hum, ho hum
but unlike cousin glow worm light don’t shine from my bum.
My light shines through my abdomen and some folks find that weird
it’s a chemical reaction nothing which need be feared.

I am not radioactive so that’s not why I glow.
Luciferin is the culprit it’s a chemical you know
that has a strange reaction – and indeed I’ve seen the light,
you’ll never see me through the day – watch out for me at night.
