This might just explain some!!!!
Internet Addict
I’m really in a bind,
and don’t know what to do,
I’ll drift into a trance
and often feel quite blue.
I’m sure I’ve got withdrawals
there’s nothing on TV,
not into cooking shows
or how to grow a tree.
I’ve tried to read a book,
but this just doesn’t last.
It has to hold me firm
or I loose interest fast.
I sit down on the lounge
and try to write some verse
but, what’s called writers block
is such a bloody curse.
I help out where I can
and clean up after tea,
I’m feeling frustrated,
It’s really just not me.
What’s causing this you ask,
there’s many can relate,
who suffer this same plight
and can appreciate.
That feeling of great loss
when modems pack it in,
your world comes crashing down,
as life goes in the bin.
I miss my facebook friends
the tags and all the likes,
the photos and the posts
the cars and motor bikes.
I miss the banter too
with all my poet mates,
the many youtube clips
and those who captivate.
So come on Telstra, send
a brand new modem quick,
this pining for my screen
is making me quite sick.
I’m really in a bind,
fresh sweat is on my brow,
I’m walking in a trance,
I NEED THAT MODEM NOW!!!

Loved the poem David and you're right. You're not alone. It's happened twice to me so last time I doubled the order.

Best thing my family ever did was ditching Telstra and no regrets at all - Have everything running through TPG now and have never had a moments trouble with them, bloody Telstra need a rocket up the proverbial. Just my opinion of course
