Early Morning

Post by Bob Pacey » Sun May 05, 2013 6:09 am

Early morning dew is falling, bloody hell it's cold outside
alarm went off and broke my dreaming of the open countryside.
I drag myself out of the covers turn the kettle on to boil,
should not have drunk that final stubby, pain cuts to my mortal coil.

Getting dressed is such an effort, forgot to wash so no clean sox
rummaged through the dirty basket, found some sort of near clean jocks.
My poor old brain it feels so mucky but work it calls so must away
Then the realisation hits me it's the weekend ! it's a Sunday.

Quickly things begin to brighten, I feel the energy return
Suddenly I feel so sprightly now I've so much life to burn.
I hear the birds outside are singing, parrots squark, they hang and rock
gotta get a bloody move on tee off time is six o'clock.

See ya later.

A couple of commas might help it along a bit. ;)

Or maybe you could consider breaking the lines at a different place;

e.g.

Early morning dew is falling
bloody hell it's cold outside.
Alarm went off and broke my dreaming
of the open countryside.

and so on...
