Cover for collection of poetry for children
I now have an image of the final cover for my collection of poetry for children, "'The Billy That Died With Its Boots On' and Other Australian Verse", being published by Walker Books in May this year.
Here it is. I think it looks great.

A little bland I thought Stephen .
I thought that you would have gone for something a little more Out There Stephen ? and please don't ask me what out there means ! Just that your poetry sometimes suggests a need to push the boundaries.
The proof will be in the sales I reckon as I was told once
You can print them on toilet paper and a good poem will still sell.
Good Luck.

Thanks Marty - I think.
Thanks, too, Bob. You may be right. Time will tell, I guess. I didn't design the cover, or play any part in its design. It was all done by the publisher. I suppose they would have changed it if I expressed strong disapproval, but I actually rather like it.

It reminds me of something Stephen - can't think what though.
I don't think it's bland but will it be attractive to children? I guess (and hope for you) that those publishing folk know their audience.

That's just bonza Stephen! I think the kids will like it as it is very colourful with their favourite critters on it....even lizards... that little boys love to put in other kids' lunchboxes. You should be very proud of your poetic achievements. All the very best with it mate.

The purpose of my life is to serve as a warning to others.
