Re: Grandma
Great poem Sue, and I love the way you bring granny to life on stage!

Re: Grandma
Oh Neville that was a close call, I wonder if she got excited at traffic lights?
Val, that's a new one on me, you will have to fill us in.
Robyn, I had so much fun doing this one at Corryong, glad you enjoyed it too.

Sue
This is a (What they called) "dark Comedy" Movie from 1944 starring Cary Grant.
Way back when I saw it I thought it was hilarious but probably would be disappointed these days although the plot was as I said quite similar to your poem.
Incidentally the Grandma in your poem with a bent for gambling reminds me so much of my dear, late Mum (Widowed at 44) who when she lost her drivers licence at the age of 86 still proceeded to catch the bus daily to her favourite RSL 15 Kms from the Nursing Home to play the Poker Machines. All the Bus Drivers new her so well. Thankfully she had a strict limit on her spending but we figured kept her in touch with the outside world .She passed away in 2005 at the age of 91.

Re: Grandma
Didn't do her any harm Val. 91 is a pretty good innings.
Hey, that Cary Grant fellow was a bit of all right, wasn't he?
Thanks for sharing that info Val

Hi Sue,
Yes I can well imagine that one being a real crowd puller.
It's what most people in the general public hunger for
Well done Sue - got a winner there I reckon.
Cheers Terry
