It's those faces looking out from election posters, with their wonderful promises, that are the imaginary friends with fairy stories. ;)

Perhaps, but they are the leaders, they are the ones with the policies, they are the lawmakers, they are the ones who tell us what is best for us, and as we found out in NSW they are the ones who sell our heritage for the proverbial bowl of stew.

To me Maureen's poem has the air of despair, if there is no hope then we can only despair.

Oh dear - an air of despair? :o I was really just thinking a clean plate could be a good place to start if we didn't all wake up to ourselves :D and we seem to be doing a good job of cleaning the plate one way and another.

Good questions Manfred. The answers are not at all clear. ;) except maybe in North Korea and Zimbabwe.
