Not quite right, Bob. You'll need almost 11 hours on the road to get from Mallacoota in the east to Portland in the west down here in the sticks. Townsville to Mt Isa takes 10 hours. Distance is pretty much the same. Maybe it just seems longer up your way?

According to Google, Brisbane to Cairns takes 20 hours, but they don't play rugby league in Cairns do they?
