Well, Neville, I've had a night to sleep on it, and I still can't see a link between my poem and postmodernism. Can you help me? (I agree with surgical analogy, by the way.)

Just a suggestion of a slight connection I suppose ; uncertainty about whether a triangle has four or three sides, sounds a bit postmodernist. Glennie reckons I'm mega introspective  maybe I read too much into things, but your poem seemed to invite speculation about the nature of truth, and the question of knowing.
Maybe it reveals more about your musings than you realise. :)

Yes, my own feeling is just that the narrator is an idiot.

Maybe Stephen, but I think there have been some wonderful discoveries because somebody asked an
" idiotic " question. Edward de Bono calls it lateral thinking. :)

'Point Taken' you may well be on to someting there Stephen! if you took a point from a four sided triangle would it not leave it with three sides? I mean didn't Stephen Hawkings and his cobbers all talk about triangular separation and all that stuff?
8-) (I'd better get back to Marty's mate in the pub! :D )
Cheers
