Banana Prawns

Post by alongtimegone » Mon Oct 06, 2014 7:32 pm

I felt like cooking fancy.
You know, something extra grouse.
So I called my old mate Andy.
Told him, “Come on round the house.”

And bring the missus this time.
Spare yourself some heat.
I’m cookin’ somethin’ special.
Gonna give you both a treat.

I’ve got some fresh banana prawns,
some garlic and some cream,
and white wine! Mate, I promise
it’ll make your taste buds scream.

Gonna use Kataifi pastry
and wrap it round each prawn.
Then bake ’em ‘till the pastry crisps
and a work of art is born.

Next the garlic, chilli, onion,
all chopped up nice and fine.
Pan fried till they’re good and soft.
Then add the cream and wine.

Present the prawns upon the plates.
Artistically of course.
and on the side, the touch supreme,
the cream and white wine sauce.

Wazza (yum)

Geez Ron, dunno if a red would go down too well with garlic prawns. Maybe Pinot Noir?

I'll bring a nice chilled white, Waz . . . or better still a lovely golden chilled Belguin ale.

Cheers, Marty

There you go Wazza caught 16 but only kept enough for dinner and breakfast.

I use a 1.6 metre bondwood punt and here are all these blokes sitting in their flash boats catching nothing.

Local knowledge is a wonderful thing.
