When I was in management Neville I had to write numerous memos to the board of directors in monthly reports and such and became quite good at making everything look rosy because that's what they wanted to hear. Such things as The last months sales were somewhat buoyant ( neither up or down ) and In reference to our conversation on the third inst !

Then I got a new retail manager who said Bob you will now be reporting to me and I don't want any of that memo crap just write it as if you were talking to me.

So I wrote as I would talk and that sorta carries over into my poetry hence the occasional bloody ect.

Bouyant became. Sales last month were steady and although there was not an increase they were comparable with last year.

Can you understand where I'm coming from ? I was never one to put on airs or purport to be something I'm not so what you see is what ya get I reckon.

It is your poem Bob - no need to change it if you don't want to but ...there is always a but ... your intended meaning is incorrectly depicted in these lines

Bill and I went into foster care for we had no family near
but we vowed to stay together that was mothers greatest fear.

It implies your Mothers biggest fear was that you stayed together.

Just saying

I worked with a person who sent ambiguous memos - they looked fancy nancy though. I rang her up and queried one she had sent and got the reply "Oh yes I know that is what it says but that is not what I meant' Get the point
