Getting back to your Shedaphobia I must admit I felt a real empathy with your sentiments.

My idea of blissful escapism is a quiet spot in the garden with a book, or a note pad, a camera or a pair of binoculars for the bird life. My shed is actually a shipping container (the real shed is our house :? ) so spending time in there looking for the right Allen key, or sandpaper, or my absolute nightmare plumbing repair jobs

Don't get me wrong - I love my power tools, chainsaws and my work revolves around working machines - but give me the choice between servicing a brush-cutter or taking pictures of flowers and writing random ramblings in peace and tranquility . . .

take me to that quiet spot, where the filtered light nibbles at my eclectic musings :)

Brilliant from top to bottom David, no surprises there, ... my favourite lines ... verse three.

As Stephen says, monogamy is an interesting, and fairly recent, phenomenon. That great philosopher Warren Beatty said: "Marriage requires a special talent, like acting. Monogamy requires genius."

Heather, I hope you're getting some of this beautiful rain up in your part of the world...the BOM site indicates you should be. We're down at our place on the Great Ocean Road, which was somehow spared in the Ash Wednesday fires, and this is always a very nervous time of year as we watch the dreaded north wind and climbing temperatures.

Marty, I like the sound of that "quiet spot", although I'm not so sure about having my eclectic musings nibbled. ;)

Ah, Bob, that's not a shed, it's an old-fashioned sleepout!

Thanks, Warren! (And my apologies for taking your name in vain over in the homework section.)

Cheers
David

The rain has just arrived and smells delicious. :) I hold my breath every summer David and count down the days to autumn. Hope you are getting a sea breeze and the rain.

Heather :)

No need for apologies David. I'm feeling quite important now. Pity you had to include Neville though. Now I have to share the honour.

Moved my Shed poem over to Members Poetry David did not want to be accused of poaching or swearing on your thread.

I cannot nail two board together either David but I've got most of the gear.
