My Avatar

Post by alongtimegone » Tue Feb 03, 2015 1:46 pm

I had a small tiff a few days ago
with my sweet beloved wife.
I said “Why don’t we just stay home tonight?”
She said “Come on darl, get a life.”

Now I’m not just a party pooper.
I simply needed a rest
So I stood my ground and said “No way!
Can’t you tell when I’m feeling stressed.

I’ve been trying to find the rhyme of all rhymes
to complete my poem of all poems.
So I’m telling you straight. I’m abstaining.
Tonight babe I’m staying at home.”

“I’ll bet if your mate Mick told you” she said,
“That the mackerel are out on the bite.”
You’d be leaving this house in a bleeding flash.”
I responded “My sweetness, you’re right.”

“Well I’m going without you my angel.”
She picked up the car keys and smiled
“Don’t wait up for me dearest I plan to be late
Tonight I feel spicy and wild.”

“Oh nice! I replied “I’m not standing for that.
My cup cake that’s going too far.
And just to show that I mean business.
You’re now history on my avatar.

Hi Wazza

Was the rhyme of all rhymes 'far' and 'avatar'??

Mate, I would beg for forgiveness

Hoping it is all tongue in cheek

Always a bit fishy Maureen. But never mean. I even invited Robbie to the first fishing club meeting of the year It's being held on Wed. 11 ... same day as her birthday. See ... underneath my soft and smooth exterior there beats a heart of carbon fibre.

Don't think I'll ever find the perfect rhyme Allan ... possibly it's wife and strife.

Good rhymes coming up Heather. I'm writing a a valentine poem as a surprise with lots of rhymes like lovey and dovey. Much cheaper than a present.
