Hey there Heather ... you and Bob writing very succinctly ( isn't that a lovely word  ) lately, but there's more behind me than in front so I do enjoy looking backwards occasionally. There's so much more to see. :)

Yes Wazza I feel like I'm being followed  I'm a rarity Wazza - a woman of few words.

Nice Heather,
Have you heard of the poet Mary Oliver? - I am a huge fan.

This poem reminds me of 'The Journey' which I can recommend....but 'Wild Geese' is my true favourite :)

Thanks very much Andrew :D

I don't know Mary Oliver. I'll have to look her up. Thanks for the tip.

They may only be a few words, Heather, but they seem to say so very much.

Sometimes we need to put on or 'don some brave' (what a great turn of phrase)

Lovely work :D

Thanks very much Allan. I was going to add to this poem and then stood back and realised it didn't need any more.

G'day Heather,

Well to took a gander at the poem Mrs H and as you know I kinda struggle with poetry some what. I've found most of the grammatical rules are thrown out the window, which includes the very basic punctuation and uniformity for the sake of art. Yeah its amazing to see some of the modern stuff written here in the US. But then I'm one to talk given the stuff I've written.

However I find this short poem is something I would like to see posted at the head of a short story.....what you think?

I always think poetry should be incorporated into a novel....it's more interesting read for me at least.

Keep on writing country lady.... ;)

PHILIP.

Thanks Bob but it really didn't need adding to. It's just a poem, not a life story. :)

I hope I can keep on writing Phil, that's the aim anyway. I do enjoy it. I suppose any short poem with meaning could be put at the start of a short story or chapter to a novel; I saw something like it in something I read recently (can't remember what!) I've never been one for short stories myself, not sure why but I have never have liked them. Maybe you need to read more interesting novels. :)
