DRINKING IRISH

For sharing of original song lyrics, together with haiku, sonnets and other unusual poetry forms. Although not strictly bush poetry, we welcome the sharing of members' compositions in these three genres, with a view to inclusiveness and mutual encouragement. Open to all Registered Forum Users. Ah Manny ! ! - a great lyric there !!
A real bottler - with a few hints of Willie and a definite note of Tom Waits - and I enjoyed the Yeats reference too...

What can you do mate - things fall apart.

better bring one of those bottles with you when you come out and we'll go and have a drink to Sturt and Poole and all the girls they loved?
