Homework week ending 21/09/15 Hidden treasure

Post by Wendy Seddon » Thu Sep 17, 2015 3:06 pm

Just a little ditty this time - life is just a bit busy!!!

From bargain clothes I can create with needles, pins and thread
some ‘new’ clothes for my family replacing those we’ve shed.
Old paperbacks are modified with scissors, tape and glue
and voila there’s a lampshade and a paper box or two.
LP’s melted over molds contain some party fare
and cassettes stripped and torn apart make lovely dolly hair.
Op shops offer cast off stuff to feed my growing stash
I love to find the treasure always hiding in the trash.

I'm fascinated with the dolly's hair - how on earth do you do that? I loved the poem Wendy - the old adage 'make do and mend' sprung instantly into my head reading it. It gives one a lot of satisfation to repurpose goods we throw away far too much these days. Great use of the prompts as well.

Putting a photo on here is easy Wendy

Pick the photo from your computer file that you want to use and reduce it to a workable size eg 800 x 600

Go the the bottom of the page on the forum where you are posting your reply and click onto the choose file which will take you to the photo file page of your own computer. Click on the photo you want on your computer and then click on open - then go to the bottom of the post a reply page and click on add file then click onto submit and hey presto a piccie will appear here.

Great 'ditty' as you call it Wendy! And you clearly have the gift of creativity in more ways than one! :)
