New music video: "No Foe Shall Gather Our Harvest"

I am thrilled that Maggie Somerville's new music video has finally been uploaded to YouTube. I have had great fun helping her to put it together.

It is based on a poem by Dame Mary Gilmore, "No Foe Shall Gather Our Harvest", written in 1940, at the height of fears that Australia was to be invaded by Japan. Maggie wrote a melody to accompany the words, and recorded it with a bunch of highly talented musicians. The video was then assembled by Jin Wang. Jin is best known for creating websites for authors, but he has done a great job here.

My favourite Mary Gilmore poem. She and my grandmother were student teachers together and remained close throughout their lives.
