So sorry Maureen - I'm late, late, late, like the White Rabbit! I see you've already posted the next lot of prompts so I have some catching up to do.
My poem for the last set of prompts is short and fairly standard in line with their theme.
Think Upon This
(c) 1/2/19
"Think upon this," said the Teller of Tales -
"steel-grey horizon with billowing sails,
storm's growing anger, great cumulus cloud,
seafaring skills fight to hold the ship proud.
This is the nightmare through day after day
voyagers face as they wend on their way."

Shelley, you reminded me why I don't go on holiday cruise ships.

Never too late Shelley - and you made excellent use of the prompts for this poem - I like it - it reminds me of life's journey

Goodness, Neville, one hopes the "Titanic" days are over! I was actually thinking of the early immigrants coming to Australia by sailing ship as it negotiated the "eye of the needle" on our southern shores!
And thank you Maureen - I hadn't thought of it as a metaphor for life, but I guess that's true. Still struggling with the haiku ...
