Homework 4th October - Haiku
Oh dear, very shy indeed about attempting Haiku for some reason, but here goes:
Birds skim lush bamboo
rosy sunrise kisses snow—
Dragon Mountain wakes
Multi-coloured sails
dancing on glittering sea—
butterfly ballet

Excellent Catherine,
There's no end of possibilities when you think about it.
And better still you can really develop your own individual mind set.

Ah yes, really well done Catherine!
No need for doubt at all, you have painted great images with your words and certainly mastered the 'short syllable count' challenge.
Great stuff!
Cheers

Nicely crafted Catherine and great to see the dragon and butterfly reference incorporated as well - a very important part ot the legends and history of this area. I love your Haiku

G'day David, and welcome to the forum! great to see you here and I look forward to reading your poems.
Did you mean to post here? as it should have gone under 'New Topic'. if you go back to writing workshop and click on the new topic button that has the pencil on it at the top, it allows you to create a new topic.
I enjoyed your haiku, good integrity, (you might like to check the syllable count in the last line though). Welcome once again.
Cheers
Ron.

Thanks Ron. I have been following the Forum for a while and thought it was time to make a contribution ( as limited as that may be!) David
