I’ve sat by a few of these just waiting for the breeze
A little flick rod in me hand some bits of bacon rind
The missus in the caravan makin bickies n some cheese
We’ll be gone tomorrow leaving all this peace behind

Nothing much better than a water hole at sun down, a few spangled perch a tin o beer and ya missus,Heaven.
Good picture Hully.

I like that one Hully, well done. Keep persevering with the technical stuff because I think it is getting to you and I think, improving your technique. :)
( hope that doesn't sound, as they say, patronising, I mean it as an encouragement)

Hi Folks I have resurrected this great poem because Thursday morning we are off in the great outback and this poem is the epitome of the reason we go, this time we will passing through Lake Yeo, Lake Rason and Queen Victoria Springs which are all full do to the winter rain out in the middle and cyclone Yassie, then we move into the Great Victoria Desert and head east to Coober Pedy and then of course to The Alice and a meet up with Ross. There’ll be a few beers and a few yarns looking forward to it.

Getting a bit excited, na not much.
